Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Pool of Radiance (Buy on eBay) takes place in the Forgotten Realms fantasy world in the city of Phlan. The game was originally released for home computers in 1988 and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. This represented the second NES game from the Dungeons & Dragons series. As opposed to the first game, this was presented in the more expected role-playing game format.
The game begins with the player building a party of up to six characters by selecting race, gender, class, and abilities. The attributes and hit points were then randomly assigned. The party is tasked with driving monsters out of the area so that the city of Phlan can be rebuilt. The mythical Pool of Radiance is rumored to give tremendous strength to anyone who bathes within its waters.
